when getting a refill

i hate to make such a useless thread on the board but this shit is bothering me. i just came had some unkind words with this fat bitch at 711 because she wouldnt let me get a refill on my fountain drink. the chubby bitch claimed that since i didnt show her my cup before i got the refill that she wouldnt give me the refill price. now when getting a refill at a gas station do you usually walk up to the counter and say "refill" or do you just get your refill and tell them at the register? she is the only person who has done this to me and i've been going there for over 2 years now. i plan on drinking this shit down really fast so i can go back and curse the fat bitch out.

SpaceAce 11-04-2003 07:56 PM

Haha, you actually found a 7-11 employee who gives a damn about the fountain drinks? Someone should fire her sorry ass. Pissing off your customers will cost a lot more in the end than a free fountain drink would.

it would have been 79 cents if i was charged for the REFILL! 1.05 + a bag of funyuns = 2.20. i only grabbed 2 bucks so i had to use my debit card.

I doubt it even adds up to that much. Customer service is pretty much nonexistent in the USA, today.

i charge everything. my card gives me 1% back. its not much, but its nice when i can order $100 worth the gift certs every once and a while for just using my credit card.

NoCarrier 11-04-2003 11:22 PM

Ahh come one.. Everybody knows that you didn't care about the refill. All you wanted to do was trying to "Hit it" behind the counter.

MetaformX 11-05-2003 12:31 AM

you people bitch about some weird insignificant things
get a life :thumbsup

foolio 11-05-2003 12:37 AM

its what? 20 cents for the non-refil price?

Anyway - I would have just dumped it out on the counter and said 'well, fuck it then' and walked out.

Zebra 11-05-2003 12:41 AM

nap - the 7-11 employees on the south side are nicer :1orglaugh
Never fails though that when I go for a slurpee every flavor I like is in the middle of defrost and is all watery. Why is the Dr. Pepper slushy never defrosting?

KRL 11-05-2003 12:49 AM

Maybe she had a bad day. You can't understand what most clerks say that work at 7-11. I just nod my head, laugh like I understand what they said, and get my coffee or whatever.

7-11 owner conventions must be a hilarious event.

AInt that the fuckin truth. I went to seras yesterday to pick up a gift that was ordered for me. WHen I got it home and opened it, pieces were missing, it was scratched up and the screws were to big. When I called up Sears and asked for the store managed they sent me to a woman (who I later found out was NOT the stoe manager) and she was a hateful bitch.

She basically told me that I can either bring it back and switch it out, (which wasnt an optiong since I have to kids....where on earth would i hit a HUGE treadmill AND both my kids) or have them deliver it. I thought about the delivery but when I opted for that she rudely told me that they caanot set a date or time. Basically they would call me the night before they were gonna come here. So I would get it the next day sometime between 8am and 9pm. WTF is with that? I told her she would have to reimburse me for my loss of pay from missing work.

ANywho...after 6 hours of fighting with this woman and putting up with her rudeness, I finally got a new treadmill and $75 back. You'd think that would be great right? WRONG. Before she gave me my trade out, she preceded to bitch at my fiancee infront of all of the other emplyees, simply because he said he didnt appreciate her unprofessionalism and the way she treated me.

So...whats the next step? Im calling the district manager today at noon and lodging a complaint on her worthless ass.

P.S. Don't shop at Sears!

Sorry about the long post. Had to get that off my chest. There was a lot more to it then this but the post is already long enough.

Heather Hamptons 11-05-2003 09:02 AM

holy shit..sorry about all the typos.

webseth 11-05-2003 10:13 AM

i went into a 7-11 the other day and the dr. pepper was running clear..

i settled for pepsi, and mentioned to the guy at the counter that his dr. pepper wasn't working..

he told me to come back the next day for a free dr. pepper :)

ldinternet 11-05-2003 10:20 AM

You mean that they're actually supposed to refill your drink for free? Lucky bastards. How many refills do you get? And what's a "fountain drink"?

A large drink costs the equivalent of about $2.50 here, and refills don't exist, you'd just have to buy another. Fucking rip off.

Thats the spirit. I dont give anyone my dough if they act stupid. I would have left that shit right there and gone across the street to another corner store for the same thing.

I could never figure out why people let store clerks and such give them attitude. My attitude is more like: I have options to shop anywhere I please... you fuck with me I'll take the biz elsewhere. Keep fucking with enough people and your biz will suffer and you 'the clerk' will be out of a job. I know there are some asshole customers, but I try to say Thanks and Please when I am dealing with store clerks and/or managers.

I am quick to say: 'Give me my money back, I dont want this anymore'. Whether its at the drive thru of Mickey D's or at a department store. Treat me like a number and I will haul ass on ya.

20 cents is all it about adds up to and most of that is the cost of the cup....they're getting it all back on that .79 cent refill being that the cup has already been paid for.

And you're right as well about the poor customer service costing more than that over a life time...it's sad that people just don't understand that in business anymore.

After 7 years of managing a Taco Bell I make an extra effort to treat clerks etc with respect...and I don't usually throw a fit unless their mistake is due to their lack of respect for me.

I've seen it all...people ready to jump a counter and beat people's asses because they didn't get enough cheese on a taco...LOL

And as far as anyone treating me with disrespect. There was a small mexican place I used to eat at all the time. Got to know the owner really well and he hired a new waitress. During the time she was taking our order she kept stopping to talk to other waitresses and answering the phone.

needless to say the order was totally messed up...even after 2 years the owner didn't even give us a free meal or anything, he was actually smiling while I told him about the problem..didn't even say sorry... I told him he wouldn't be seeing me for a damn long time.

We did not go back for a whole year. When I finally did go back we were treated like royalty...he learned his lesson I guess.
