Dianne Feinstein is on C-Span speaking to the intel reports provided to her
 

...prior to her yea vote in the Senate to provide President Bush with the power to act against Iraq. She said that the intel reports provided to her is the reason she voted yea. She is a member of the Senate Intelligence Select Committee.

The Senate Intelligence Select Committee...for the past several months...have been investigating the 14 intelligence agencies (and are still holding closed hearings...hopefully the public hearings will begin sometime this month)...to try and determine if the Senate Intelligence Committee had been provided with correct intel reports...or exaggerated intel reports...or if there was simply an intelligence failure. The Committee is also investigating if they were provided with the same intel as the President was.

That's scary to think the U.S. could have so many consecutive intel failures.

Unreliable intel is far more serious than a President exaggerating/lying about intel. A President must be able to count on intel being correct.

By the way the Senator said that the intel that was provided to the Intelligence Committee made her completely expect that WMD's would be found...and she is shocked that none have been found thus far.

it's crazy that false reports could have been given...but i still believe there is a good possibility that there are WMD hiding somewhere.
