what is hot mustard used for? egg rolls? i have no idea..

As a Chinese, I usually ignore the hot mustard with those dishes in your picture.

For me, hot mustard is only good with raw sea food, so it's mostly a Japanese sushi thing. :2 cents:

i use the hot mustard on egg rolls. that is about all i find it to be good for.

I only use hot mustard when I eat dim sum....the appetizers...especially steamed food...the hotter the better..:thumbsup

Hot mustard is a Japanese sushi thing?!? Damn! All that time in Japan eating sushi and I never saw the stuff. I've been missing out. waaaaaasssssaaaaaaaaaaaaabbbiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

I do remember a German friend specially ordered hot mustard when we ate dim sum. It's definitely not a Chinese thing. It's just like he also ordered Coke with dim sum, while our tradition is drinking tea only with dim sum. Dim Sum in madarin Chinese actually means "morning tea" or "afternoon tea".
