you know your kid is a lazy bastard when every year he winds up trick or treating or going to a Halloween party as a ............. bum.

that was me, never had a real costume, even as a little kid I was too lazy and too cool for some store bought costume - so then I'd freak out the night of Halloween and curse my mom out - another year as a bum. And there were always hardass guys who were wise to us bums, you'd go up to the house and the guy would look at you and say 'boy you really went all out didn't you son? in a surly way and begrudgingly toss a candy bar in your pillowcase.
