http://slashdot.org/search.pl?query=... ction=&sort=1 GFY nic Spooky has put forth a ACACIA related question. http://slashdot.org/search.pl?query=... ction=&sort=1 ACACIA is targeting the user Forgent is targeting the manufacturer. If they turned the tables slightly and if ACACIA turned around and sued manufactures and Forgent turned around and sued users it would allow them both to be paid twice. Companies have settled with ACACIA Manufacturers have been sued by Forgent. The ones that have settled have done just that for no reason they should read the badge on their equiptment and forward that information if any patent infringement need to be settled it isnt at consumer level. Did those that saw a letter from ACACIA ever see a patent agreement with the equiptment. Most that recieved a letter most didnt even make the content some not even link to it. If ACACIA wants to get paid for their work this far down the track for infringement it is equiptment manufacturers they should be targeting if they have any grounds at all. If ACACIA stocks fall to zero the mpeg will still be available anywhere. Next thing Thomas Edison the man who invented the light bulb, the phonograph and the kinetoscope, a small box for viewing moving films also inventing motion picture will make a claim surely everyone wants a piece of the pie.:321GFY |
