This Spanish Mission style building, constructed in 1926, started out as the United Verde Hospital, opening January, 1927. In 1930, it was written up as the most modern and well equipped hospital in Arizona and possible the Western States. The Hospital was closed in 1950 as the mine operation was being phased out. The building stood unused for the next 44 years until the rehabilitation plans started in 1994. High upon Cleopatra Hill, it was constructed by the United Verde Copper Company to treat injured and sick miners. As the copper deposits played out, the local population dwindled.

The building had always had a reputation for being haunted as ghostly sounds of coughing, moaning and labored breathing could be heard throughout the wards. In addition, a man named Claude Harvey was killed when he was caught underneath the hospital elevator in 1935. Since that time, lights have been seen in the shaft and during a period when the building was vacant, the elevator could be heard slowly traveling up and down... even though it had been parked at the top of the shaft and no power was connected to it. An autopsy was never done, and there is a belief that, a mysterious stranger killed him.

I will go to west hollywood for the street party. Although it's a little cold for them to bare it all, but there will always be creative costumes and lots of flesh to see. :thumbsup

Visiting my old college roommate who is in grad school.. Halloween party, I'll be dressed up as the Tanqueray No. 10 bottle.

I'm going to scare the piss out of some kids. Got my front porch decked out bigtime, fog machine, eirie lights, the whole nine yards. House is lit up with orange and purple rope lights. I even went and bought a chainsaw just for this. Yes I took the chain off. LOL

I am on doctor-ordered bedrest so I can't go out with the kids, as much as it breaks my heart :( But I will be the one to stay home and hand out candy while the kids go out with daddy.. Being young they don't need to be out long so after that we will all hand out candy, watch movies and pig out on popcorn :) (I don't let my kids have much candy, so what they get tomorrow will probably last a year). :)

Heading to France on a booze run tomorrow during the day then staying in to hand out to Trick-or-Treaters in the evening. There are parties happening in the pubs and clubs in town but they'll all be lame. Better to stay in and watch a good film.


LadyM, I remember the days of bedrest. I couldn't wait to finally give birth and get back on my feet again! Now I almost wish I had time to sit down for 5 minutes let alone be on bedrest. I run after her all day!! LOL

The usual I dress up like a mad ass creation.... drink lots of booze to get into the spirit of things...then magic mushrooms to really feel the part...

Last year I was a retro inspired LSD Space chicken. (won $500 bucks and more booze just what I needed)

This year Full Giver' Matler (Metal Rocker) with Real Deer antlers attached to my head (blond rocker mullet, serious south beach flourescant pink muscle pants... high tops (beaten up of course Roos brand with the hot hash pockets in the tongues), and a ripped up Slayer Tank top, Local Truck company mesh back....and a six pack of bud cans at all times on my hip. and as quite large rack of deer antlers attached to my head...

I am going to the world famous shooters for their Holloween costume contest.... It is the best one South Florida has to offer prize wise so there are some killer costumes. I will take some pics of the winners and post them for you my friend! Tanker for President!!!:thumbsup
