acacia false acusations
Hah! I got one those Acacia letters today accusing me infringing on their patents. There's only one problem, I don't run any adult websites! I don't even own a website! This is great, classy group of people. I wonder what database they got my address from.

To put validity to your claim can I ask how you knew to come here and claim this?
|
If you don't run any adult websites and don't own any websites.
How did you know about GFY? and why did you decide to post it here immediately after you received it? |

haha, good one. the scuttlebutt is that the recent mailing piece to adult webmasters basically went down in flames. like maybe less than 1% signups, and all of them small. investors are now getting nervous because acacia is not making a statement re: their Nov 30 "deadline". so acacia will play this thing out as long as they can, and spend investor money trying some cases. but the problem is the potential jurors. where are they going to get a jury that will side with acacia? big institutional electronics advertisers are already touting the newest DV cams with bluelink transfer to the web, and IBM is coming out with it's new streaming solution, and AOL is showing primetime TV commercials of quick video downloads with their new broadband, and every potential juror in America sees this stuff, and wonders why the new DV cam they bought grandma for Christmas can't be used to send video across the web---afterall, it says it can do that RIGHT ON THE FUCKING SONY BOX. and state and federally funded universites will fight acacia, and the US federal govt. will see to it that any patent like this will be invalidated because if it is valid it will stifle the "information age" and do a disservice to the internet, which was built not by acacia, but by the TAXPAYERS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. watch it happen. |
