Whats the best IRC client program out there? IceChat keeps locking up on me for no reason...

I started using IRC like 6 years ago, kept up with the same people over there until about a year ago when things seemed to start to die down in the IRC world.

not really interested in the chat functionality if you know what I mean. :Graucho

I heard Leecher is good

eXtreme is very nice, i used it for years.

even when i was making my own scripts, i still often preferred it over my own, it is rock solid :/

don't bother with anything but Mirc

Mirc for Windows and BitchX for Unix. Both is better !

I remember the days Pirch (I think that's how you spell it) was still popular, had a scripting syntax very similar to Pascal. I used to hack it up a lot, good ol days ;)
