WTF??? Domain gone at GoDADDY
How the fuck can that be?
i wanted to switch the nameserver data at goaddy and when i search for the domain those fuckers come up with: MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNTS: Use the drop down list beside each domain name to manage items related to that name. Currently you have no domain names listed in your account. Purchase a domain name besides of the fact that the fuckers list more than other 100 domains this one fucking domain is gone how the fuck can this happen... i only regged my domains with Directnic and Godaddy yet... and this particular domain is not at directnic either anyhow experienced something similair?? comments and advices please Thanks Trax |

I'm missing one off on my count vs. theirs. But I have a lot of domains so it could me my mistake.
They've always been accurate. This was the first discrepancy I noticed. |

never had a problem... i also never really paid attention the domain in question is online and working on the old nameserver... i wouldnt have noticed it either if i werent in need to change the gdamn data |
For .com and .net domains...check NSI Registry for registry/registrar data of domains.
http://www.nsiregistry.com/ On an aside, note the expiration date shown at the registry does NOT necessarily correspond to the actual expiration date of the domain at the registrar. An example is when a domain name expires at the registrar, but the registrar doesn't delete it right away...the .com/.net registry after a period of time automatically adds another year on - it's credited back later in a matter of speaking, but anyways this is a quirk one has to be aware of when checking the registry directly. Bottom line is one must manually keep track of domain name expiration dates and continuously monitor their domains - some registrars send zillions of notices, including some by mail, and even call...GoDaddy is a deep discounter and basically zaps domains when expired...great for bulk registrations of mediocre domains, but for anything important, one may do better elsewhere. I had a similiar problem with DirectNIC. Turned out that the domain I had bought was stolen and Network Solutions seized it back and nobody even bothered to notify me. I had to figure it out when traffic stopped. Try doing a WHOIS lookup to see if the domain is first still resolving and who is the registrar. Then contact the registrar to try and figure out what happened.

PIR does and what you are seeing is the registry entry for what I assume is a .ORG domain. .ORG operates a "thick" registry in that the registry maintains both the registry and registrar information for all .ORG domains. The "sponsoring registrar" is the company through which the .ORG domain was registered through ... for example, DirectNIC, GoDaddy, Domain Bank, Network Solutions, BulkRegister, etc. Ron |
Eaxctly this happened to me to. They stole one of my domains, well, actually they donated it to some chick called Sonya something.
Screwball thing was, I only noticed because they sent a renewal email to me. Yup, to me. But I couldn't find the domain, turned out their software/database had somehow managed to change the registration details (except the email address apparently). I pointed out that according to ICANN (or whatever it is 'whois' queries online) I was the rightful owner, and that they sent the renewal email to me, and that no transfer had been authorized, and that my previous renewal receipt was sitting on their servers. There response to 7 or 8 emails was to do fucking nothing until the domain expired when they kindly reminded me it should have been renewed and had now expired and they could no longer do anything. Bunch of fucking monkeys. |
