Free Or Paid Hosting?
 

Hello everybody,

I want to ask you a simple question? What hosting do you use for your galleries? Free or Paid? And why?
I don't understand the difference from banerless free hosting ( some sponsors provide such hosting) and paid hosting. Big thanks for your answers.

Free hosting equals a loss in control of how your site is deployed, available resources and must contain some sort of advertisng for the host. It could be banners, 404/exit traffic or some other valuable commodity. Just know they are getting much more from you then you are giving them!

Paid hosting allows you total control of your space, resources and contains no ads of any kind or obligation on your traffic. Paid hosting is also more reliable since the paid host worth any salt will compensate you for any unscheduled downtime not caused by you. considering a paid host is not in the business of losing money it behooves them to offer relaibility. They also tend to offer better hardware/networks than free hosts who simply want your traffic and feel why should they invest major loot in something they are giving away for free. Hell they are going to get the traffic either way so fuck it if your site is up and down more than a 12th avenue pro.

If you do not understand any of this remember this simple rule . . . you get what you pay for. If you paid nothing then that is what you get and/or expect nothing

Get a paid hosting, galleries on free hosts are usually not accepted by TGPs, it's really cheap a small virtual plan to start with. I can recommned you Dreamhost , they are always up and display fast the galleries.

Sure paid hosting gives you more control, but I would have stop a long time ago if I had used a payhost from the beginning. I am still submitting galleries on freehost and get listed on many big places (even have some partner accounts). I would recommend smutserver or kinghost for a freehost (stay away for bannerless, they redirect your traffic and will get you banned!). Another great solution is revshare hosting. Hope this helps.
