I know everyone is sick of ACACIA threads, but here's another one!

I am just curious if TGPs are being hit for linking directly to sponsors, or if it also includes linking to galleries that link to sponsors? How far down can it go before it's not a problem?

Can they sue GFY? ...in my profile it links to my TGP and my TGP links to galleries that link to sponsors? You get the point :)

You wont know until you or someone gets the letter. Thats how we found out about TGPs getting hit :warning

I own 3 TGPs and I got "the letter". That's why I need to know if it's the galleries or the direct links to sponsors.

They honestly don't care. They want payment for anything and everything. Even if you didn't violate their patent, they'll send a letter. They're double and triple dipping on the same video and its getting out of hand at this point.

Same here, I'm not prepared to hand over 2% of gross for linking to sponsor programs. All I do is redirect traffic from SE's, not galleries, no videos, nadda.

You think these boys are playing by anyone's rules. They're bloodsucking whoever they can.

Well their hitting TGP's right now. Even if the sponser pays for the licensing fee's. Which they weren't suppose to!

My own opinion, I'm not using their technology because I'm not directly linking to any movies, or any movies linked to my domain. So with that said, I don't feel I'm infringing the patent! Infringing it would be transfering VIDEO & AUDIO across the web.

So I don't think any TGP is going against the patent, SINCE they don't have the videos on their own domain!

think about it..
anything less than real time, that gets compressed, that gets stored either audio, video, or a combination of audio/video that comes over the phone lines, cable lines, or via sattelite
at least thats what the patent claims



that is why its important to get the patent invalidated and as far as i see the only way to win.
