Why are so many of you guys calling Acacia directly?
Do you realize the legal implications of making that call?
Hello??? Read people read. http://www.adultindustryupdate.com/a...%20ARTICLE.pdf |
This is a funny post from the Acacia message board on Yahoo:
F'd up company w/bad patent by: actgscam 10/27/03 04:46 am Msg: 23465 of 23548 I wrote these assholes and asked if my situation fell under their patent. Naturally they said yes. The funny thing was, I told them $1500 was more than I was going to pay. Now they are hounding me daily (Rob Berman) to make an offer!!!! I've got them down to $400 a year. It still doesn't interest me though. I don't make that much off video. I'd just as soon video went away. It costs to damn much to host video already. Once my main competitors dump video, it will be a better world. Meanwhile, I just mailed a check to IMPA for $300.00 If you really want to get this over with, tell them you will got $300 a year and won't sign their silly ass contract. Demand a simple 1 year receipt with no terms. Under no circumstances sign their standard agreement. It is a full on scam. :1orglaugh |
i figure if i call them, they know i got ther letter and can cross of my name as confirmed inbound caller that infringing.
that would mean id be Own3d by acacia :glugglug |

I asked my attorney last Friday if I should call them or if he was going to contact them and he laughed and said, "Now why in the hell would we want to call them up and confirm for them that there is definitely someone on the mailbox end of that letter they sent you??" :)
Oh, and they called me a "Mr.", too. :ak47: Bastards. :1orglaugh |
