twistyneck 10-26-2003 07:47 PM

You're fucked.

gin 10-26-2003 07:47 PM

if you got no insurance.. i wouldn't stay around long enough to find out

dirtyone 10-26-2003 07:47 PM

If you're both uninsured I suppose you are both fucked.

freeadultcontent 10-26-2003 07:48 PM

fault is determined by state ussually.
If your state requires insurance though, you get fucked.

CAHEK 10-26-2003 07:50 PM

how " fucked " ?

detoxed 10-26-2003 07:50 PM

I'd beat your ass for illegally driving without insurance. Then I'd report you.

ROFL, ha ha ha.

JFPdude 10-26-2003 07:53 PM

Depends on what state your from.. Some states don't require insurance and if you live in one of those states and he hit you then his insurance company will pay.

Other states have mandatory insurance and a no fault clause whereas your insurance company will fix your car and his will fix his car.

To many variables not enough information.

CAHEK 10-26-2003 07:55 PM

:helpme

The question should be if I drive without insurance, and I am involved in an accident am I the idiot?

In my state, we have to pay extra fees for the idiots that don't have insurance.

:)

Lacoste 10-26-2003 08:21 PM

You are screwed.

jimmyf 10-26-2003 08:23 PM

In California they impound your car, for 30 days cost (don't know for sure) $ 1,500.00 to $ 2,000.00 for storage. Can't get it back until you have Ins. Think they take your driver's Lic. also. Your fucked.

Spunky 10-26-2003 08:26 PM

Thats why you have insurance in case somebody hits you and your disabled or something...Your playing with fire if you don't have it..What if you kill someone?...Can you afford 2 million bucks after the family comes after you?

Peaches 10-26-2003 08:28 PM

Find out the laws in your location. Period. If you're not required by law to have insurance, then you'll be OK. If you are, then find out the laws regarding THAT where you live.

In GA, you have to have insurance to drive a car off the lot. If you then cancel it/let it lapse, the insurance company notifies the GA DMV and your license is suspended. THEN if you're found w/o insurance you'll also get busted for driving on a suspended license.

I'll tell you what I tell my 20 year old with 3 tickets and a totalled car on his record: If you can't afford insurance, you can't afford a car.

goBigtime 10-26-2003 08:31 PM

Cops will pull you over for no seatbelt, and then they will nail you on not having insurance & you'll pay about $500 in fees, PLUS you'll have to get insurance. :helpme

brand0n 10-26-2003 08:33 PM

with all the proxies, mailers, bulletproof hosting ect why do you drive w/o insurance?

Do you know how to read a post? Please reread it and post again without sounding like an idiot. Thanks.

To all others, please continue why we should pay for car insurance even if you are hit in the back. :)

Because unless you're Miss Cleo, you never know if you're going to be the hittee or the hitter. :winkwink:

partytime 10-26-2003 09:04 PM

You must live in Washington, D.C.

Rochard 10-26-2003 09:16 PM

I remember once a friend of mine bought his first brand new car, and lied about his insurance to drive the car off the lot. On the way home he hit another car, totalling both of them. He had to pay for the car he drove for less than an hour for the next four years, pay out the ass for the other car involved, and lost his driver's license for five years.

If you drive without insurance and you cause an accident, you'll have to pay the damages out your pocket. That could cost a pretty penny.

I think you are considered at fault if you dont have insurance even if its not your fault but each state is different.

OMG Shawn 10-27-2003 07:27 AM

Here in Ontario Canada, first no insurance offence is a minimum
$5000 CDN fine. They can ding you up to $25k!

But then, that is nothing compared to the millions that you could
end up having to pay to someones family potentially.

Of course, some would say that saving a couple hundred bucks
a month on insurance is a well spent gamble!!

But, what do I know, I am just a Canadian eh

darksoft 10-27-2003 08:19 AM

If you're a dumb fuck enough to drive without insurance I hope your first wreck kills your sorry, stupid ass. If you can't afford insurance, walk, you fucking pussy.

FreeHugeMovies 10-27-2003 10:04 AM

SR 22 insurance and jail time.

PornDiscounts-V 10-27-2003 10:05 AM

If you are illegally in this country we will give you 1 million dollars, if not, then we will put you in jail and impound the car, sell it and use the proceeds to give an illegal alien 1 million dollars.

hyatla 10-27-2003 11:35 AM

So scary, I am calling insurance company right now.

Having been driving in both AZ and CA for one year w/o insurance after totalling my last car (had insurance). Anyway, I saved $2000 already. Now I better get one. :thumbsup

Steve 10-27-2003 11:38 AM

in NJ, having an accident while uninsured carries a stiffer penalty than a first offense DWI

basically double the penalties

genomega 10-27-2003 11:39 AM

If you were to kill or disable someone then you would be screwed
for the rest of your life. Could never drive again, any cash you make would go to the lawyers and injured parties.
You would have to leave the country to lead a normal life.

:Graucho

liquidmoe 10-27-2003 12:17 PM

I pay more for my insurance than the lease on my car. Better pay now than be sorry later lol
