if I use PHP instead of FRAMES! (not tables)

will I get better SE rankings?
or is it just best if I recopy the complete code on every page?

Frames generally don't work really well for search engines, if you don't know what you're doing.

exactly why I dont want to use them

say I use PHP instead of using frames, will it pass alot better on SEs?

if not, does that mean that I should just recopy the code(for example, the left menu bar) on all the pages?

to my knowlede, google is perfectly happy spidering .php files as well as .shtml files, so in that respect it doesn't matter if you use shtml or php to dynamically build portions of your site without using frames.

However, do be careful about using request parameters e.g. mydomain.com/file.php?NAME=VALUE&NAME2=VALUE2&etc.

thats where the spiders start to lose you sometimes.
