this is actually slightly amusing:

my acct is on limited access & they want me to fax a copy of my recent bank statement showing address, etc. well, i dont have it, so i called em:

me: my acct is on limited access & i dont have the documents you guys want in order to restore my account
paypal: fax copy of bank statement for xxxxx bank acct
me: i just said i dont have that bank acct anymore
paypal: fax old statements
me: (sends fax)

*waits*

paypal: this bank acct is no longer valid
me: no shit
paypal: you need to verify your accts
me: how
paypal: fax copy of bank statement for xxxxx bank acct
me: i just did
paypal: we need recent statements with your current address
me: i closed that bank acct months ago & moved
paypal: well we need a current statement
me: i closed that bank acct months ago & moved
paypal: you have to confirm your identity
me: i can fax you my drivers license
paypal: we need a bank statement
me: bank statements are more legit than driver license?
paypal: that's what it says we need in order to take you off limited access
me: but i already faxed them and you said they arent good enough
paypal: right, we need recent statements with your current address
me: are you retarded?
paypal: excuse me?
me: (long explanation of what we just talked about)
paypal: send an email to [email protected] with that info and they will tell you what to do
me: ok thanks

*sends email*

i get a form letter back from paypal telling me to fax in the bank statement that ive already faxed, and had ruled unacceptable.

so i call again, nice lady this time. sounded hot.

me: yeah i just... (long explanation)
paypal: just fax the old ones again with a cover note explaining and someone will get back to you
me: i already faxed them
paypal: do it again and put this case #xxxxxxxxxxxx
me: ok should i include my drivers license
paypal: not if the system isnt asking for it
me: ok but isnt that id
paypal: not if the system isnt asking for it
me: ok ill fax it over. can i use my debit card?
paypal: your debit card is invalid
me: since when
paypal: we send you a new one and it came back
me: yeah i moved and your system wont let me update my mailing address, because it doesnt match the credit card thats on file, because the credit card on file is a debit card for the bank account i dont have anymore, which you are asking me to send a current statement of...
paypal: you'll hear back within 24 hours of sending the fax
me: ok

*sigh*

its only amusing because i dont care & theres like $3 in that account. but its still fun to toy with them.

guess ill take a look at epassporte now :)

yeah paypal can be a serious pain in the ass but a lot of people accept them

I love it how paypal will block your account, and then when you email them it sends back an email saying you have to contact them from the contact page, but if your account's blocked they don't let you ... I played that game for a while ... PAYPAL SUCKS

they wanted me to pay them a -$4.86 amount on the account before unblocking our account, and the account was blocked so couldnt fund easily and only excepted a cheque payment.. (ONLY FROM THE US!!) im not in the US, then a month later threatend legal action LOL!!

Solution.. Fucking got truste.org to close the account which in turn allowed me to open a new one :1orglaugh

Dawgy, I went through 3 fucking months of that same shit...


literrally 2 dozen faxes later they released a few K...


now I won't use them if I can avoid it...


stormpay, solarpay, etc etc etc....all work just fine...
