if they did it would probably suck by now. there last albums were ok, but not nearly as good as when they were at thier peak, and even the beggining.

Actually enjoyed PinkFloyd but when they started going mainstream after The Wall - kind of lost interest when their grass roots sound went away

I agree. After The Wall, their sound did start to change to a more "listener friendly" (if that's what you wanna call it) sound.

Still a big fan and would love to see them back together, playing one last tour.

Momentary Lapse of Reason (Lapse of Songwriting is more like it) was pretty awful... but then they followed up with Division Bell, which was one of the most awesome albums ever...

rogers doesn't need that shit anyways, he had eric clapton on pros and cons of hitchhiking and jeff beck on amused to death both of which blow the new 'pink floyd's albums away

i do wish i'd of gotten to see them back in the day all together though :(

I've never seen Pink Floyd but I did see two or Roger Waters tours - the Hitchhiking tour with Clapton and the one ofter that with a bunch of English studio musicians.

The Clapton tour I thought was great - Clapton seemed to be in complete sync with Waters and his playing was amazing. A few years later I read an interview with Clapton where he said he felt that Waters was too much of a control freak and that resulted in a cold sterile music, he also said he didn't enjoy the tour and refused to join him again. It was an interesting interview especially because I remember the music sounding so differently than he described.

Oh I could only dream that they would reunite and start touring again...

I've been drifting more and more toward the oldest floyd albums back in their 'space acid rock' days. Very trippy shit.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn... Soundtrack to 'More', Obscured by Clouds, Live at Pompeii.... gooooood shit. Early Gilmour albums are pretty good too.

Pretty much height everything since Waters left, though I can stand to listen to Momentary Lapse of Reason every once and a while.

Waters' solo stuff is not bad.

I got live at pompeii on dvd last week and have watched it 3 times since. Its fucking awesome!

im a huge floyd fan, have all the albums worth having (pipers till the wall) and about 100 bootlegs. i especially like their early 70s live stuff, pre dark side. the songs would differ nearly every performance. i would love to see them live but WITH waters. i didn't like the gilmour lead cds at all (momentary lapse, ect). speaking of plant tho there was word going around on the net that zep were supposed to tour again, but haven't heard anything since, that would be a dream come true. zep and floyd are two of my all time favs.

I saw the clasic albums specail the other night with dark side was cool to hear them talking about the making of it.

I started listening to Pink Floyd more and more last year and just became addicted. Dark Side of the Moon and Live at Pompeii are my favorite. Wish You Were Here though is one of my favorite songs.
