This has nothing to do with US or non US company. This simply is policy to prevent such bull like Acacia and patents. If you try to trademark a term that can be used in a sentense you are out of luck. This is descriptive for double the mint in something.
Then it depends if you talk company name or product name. A company name is easier to protect than a product you can easily rename. Just don't try to critisize legeslation that really makes sense for a change or little people would someday pay fees for using their own language. |
