Maybe I'm just anti-social but it really annoys me when people I don't know ICQ me and try to start banal conversations about where I live and what time it is.

Usually I talk to them just long enough to make sure they're not somebody I know and then I ignore them. Of course the stupid ones continue to message me asking if they offended me and why I'm ignoring them.
