I wonder if they have permission from Cnet to reproduce their work? Someone who has gotten this should fax a copy to Cnet and ask.

They're going for everyone and anyone.

funny part is it says "You provide access to digital audio/video content via your website(s) without a license from Acacia, and therefore are liable to Acacia for patent infringement."



I'm dying to see these "website(s)"

I didn't know that Cnet articles made the law, how intimidating. :1orglaugh

And they are checking every banner and affiliate code here to get everyone.

As I mentioned earlier in another thread, they're trying to pull money from you for "providing access" when you do nothing of the sort! They're probably sitting there hoping to run across a couple stupid people willing to send them a check.

I know very little in regards to the FTC, etc, but isn't this illegal or at least very questionable? I can't see a judge liking this at all.
