It amazes me, if I scraped my knee, the hospital would treat it. I have an abses tooth, fever, earache and swolen tonsil and the first thing they say is I gotta pay. fuck.

yeah, if you don't have insurance you are pretty fucked. But a private dentist will see you - alot of them let you make payments and will go ahead and take care of u. Be prepared to put some money down.

A Canadian complaining about healthcare. All I ever see is Canadians raving about their healthcare system in anti-US threads. How strange.

private dentists will treat you, an well too if you are paying cash. just had some work done and though it was exensive, i know that he only charged me about 60% of what he lists on his price chart an let me make a couple of payments on it. less hassle for him, filling out forms and waiting on the insurance companies.

same with regular doctors too. took the boy to the dermatologist and once he found out we were paying cash, it was 50% of what he told me over the phone :thumbsup

You guys don´t have a clue of what is a terrible health car system...

For us in the third world there is really two options: pay and be treated now or go to public hospital and have it treated in some months... if don´t die first.

Plus there´s lack of doctors, medications, equips... luckly I can pay for isurance.

Anyway, you´re complaining for nothing.

stop it already. Canadian heathcare is the best on the planet. That's been explained to us before.
