WTF, to sign up to Lightspeedcash I have to call them?? Don't you guys have some kind of a form that I could just fill over the internet without having to call you???

There's nothing wrong with them wanting a little more security, especially with the new chargeback regulations.. It only takes ONE crook to completely screw their ratios.. Guess they wanna see if you're legit :)

I call a lot of affiliates too

We are about to put a similar system into place. We have spent the lst couple weeks finding and deleting accounts that are commitng fraud.

We've implemented new security procedures for our new affiliates. If you can't contact us to let us verify who you are and where your traffic comes from, we don't really want it that badly, ya know?

Lightspeed isn't the only program being smart and implimenting this kind of personal contact.. I was contacted by Purecash and a few other affiliate programs i've signed up with over time to confirm my account and give references etc. It is a fantastic idea, and if this had been done all along, who knows, maybe things would be different. All it's going to do is make sure that a) it's harder for thieves and cheats to get accounts and b) get webmasters knowing their reps, etc on a more personal level.

I am with you on that KK. Before we launched PureCash, we had discussions with some of the top programs, as well as processors. We came up with a game plan to thwart fradulent webmasters.

So far we have either rejected, or have not heard back from 54 webmaster accounts. I would assume the ones we do not hear back from were cockholsters trying to get in to jack our program.

Making sure affiliates are clean, and not scammers is good business NOT just for the program, but also for all the honest affiliates in it!
