Max Payne 2 ruled!
 

Just finished up with Max Payne2 last night, have to say its a pretty fucking cool game. I liked the first one as well. Nothing like turning off all lights in the room cranking up the speakers and blasting you way though a major body count game :) not to mention the trippy bullet time !! :) thumbs up for me!

yea I have to say coming from a background in game development the design of the level in the fun house rocked.. Its good to see a used of cool creativity in such a game.. btw i wanted to see Mona naked!! damit :)

WHAT MP2 is out, fuck i am behind. I never finished the first one got to the last stage were i have to blast that fucking boss bitch in the chopper taking off. I need to get me another xbox bad here. taking about the pc version.. dont think the xbox version is out yet.. i prefed the pc version of the xbox tho.. I only use my xbox to play media files (vcd,svcd,divx,xvid,mp3,photos,etc) or Mame arcade emulator.. best $180 i spent :)

It was fun to play as Mona though. I was hoping she would have different moves than Max, but she didn't.

Mona naked would have been nice too :Graucho

Xbox plays Divx? I have never tried it...

I here this alot havent played the PC version, whats the diff. Besides using controllers thats is.

Give it a week or so and Im sure you'll see mods for that :thumbsup

i dont play many console games anymore. I get a shit load of free ps2, and xbox games sent to me all the time.. I perfer 3rd person or first person type of games on the PC the way you can use the mouse for mouse look and movment is much smoother to me. Granted a game like halo got me and my buddy playing co-op till we finished it, but when the pc version came out you can deff see that the movment is much smoother with a mouse and keyboard..

maybe its just me, some people cant get used to a mouse/keyboard system.

anyhow, XBOX is one of the best media players out there.. ie you need to hack your xbox.. what I have done is modded my xbox with a chip then replaced the internal hard drive with a 80 gigger i had. XBMP (Xbox Media Player) is a homebrewed app its similar to the XP media center but alot better. you can set it up to put the media files on your pc if you have a network and mount the PC drives on your xbox, so you can stream the media to your xbox and play it back on your tv etc.. it plays almost any format..

if your tired of hooking up a pc to your big screen or av system this is the best and only alterantive belive me i have searched far as wide for a good solution.

and there is nothign like Mame Arcade emulator, i have over 1800 old arcade roms , its awesome playing the old classics on my big screen :)

A friend of mine programmed the MaxFx Engine that is behind Max Payne 1 & 2 and it's a weird feeling seeing people everywhere talking about and buying what he created ..

And then again I am very happy that MAx Payne 2 is released and that he will return from Finland to Germany very soon so I can beat him in FIFA soccer .. :winkwink:

the xbox thing isnt a waste of time, its the best shit . once u see it in action your like wow this fucking rocks. esp if u play alot of media on your tv..

HOW TO GET MONA NAKED: A TUTORIAL BY DEFLUX/BobbyM

1) Make a shortcut to the game's exe file.
2) Change the Target field to this:
"C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Max Payne 2\MaxPayne2.exe" -developerkeys -screenshot
3) Start a new game or load one you have saved.
4) Use PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN to scroll through models. You will get Nude Mona
quicker if you use PAGE UP.
5) Pressing F3 will allow you to move the camera around freely. Press F3 again
tomove the camera around freely. Press F3 again
to set the camera and regain control of your character.
6) Pressing F10 will make a screen shot in your Max Payne 2 directory.
7) Try not to jerk it too hard.

Yup was a blast. Great storyline (reminded me of half-life 1) and loads of action.

I'm reinstalling WC3 now for some RTS weekend fun. Not got frozen throne though :(
