Gest sues Minnelli over 'abuse'

Liza Minnelli's estranged husband David Gest is suing her for $10m (£5.9m) in damages for spousal abuse, saying she attacked him in drunken rages.
Gest, who separated from Minnelli three months ago, said she threw a lamp at him and beat his face with her fists.
In an 11-page civil suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, he said an attack by Minnelli left him with an "unrelenting pain in his head".

Her mother, Judy Garland is my all time favorite performer. I thought the marriage was a bit of a farce to begin with. Liza has gone through a lot in her lifetime, she is very talented, although very troubled throughout her lifetime.

It is sad that celebrity couples, instead of working things out, take from one another and bash each other so publicly.
