Today the Bush brothers fucked themself BIG TIME!

Today is a day that will go down in American history as the day both the Bush brothers fucked up (even further than they have already) their chance to get re-elected.

First, Pres. Bush says he will sign the bill to BAN 'partial birth' abortions DESPITE the health of the mother. So this means even if the woman will die unless she has the abortion, she can?t have it - the president is basically saying the mother must die along with her child. Lets face it, the point of these late term abortions are more about the health of the mother than the mother just waking up one morning and deciding she does not want this child that has been inside her for 6+ months.

Second, Gov. Bush in Florida created a law allowing him to "save" a lady who has severe brain damage and can't live on her own. Bush did not care the lady did not want to live like that, and did not care what her husband -the legal guardian- did not want her to live in the manner she was living in. The bill also allows a judge to appoint an independent guardian for Schiavo, taking away guardianship from her husband. So that just confirms the HUSBAND had the legal right to remove his wife from life support.

So tell me you republicans, what gives the Bush brothers the right to completely interfere with a persons life despite any health rish and despite the person's personal wishes.

They really must think they are Gods to lay down these "laws".

Good news is thanks to this and many other Bush fuck-ups we will be free of these complete tards very soon.

I've asked this question many times. It's simple really. They have God in their life, and since they're Christian, they're obviously above everyone who's not Christian. This therefore gives them the right to impose their far-right religious fundamental perspectives on all of humanity.

I know the bible says that you'll have what's coming to you in the end, by means of God's punishment. But just in case that doesn't happen, they'll see to it themselves.

Make's sense, doesn't it? :thumbsup

I wish them an expedient relief of political position.

Every United States adult webmaster should be registered as well as prepared to vote. Not just webmasters either. The public.

evilregis 10-21-2003 11:53 PM

that's what "democracy" gets you... elected officials by the public meant to represent THE PUBLIC but find it much more convenient to represent their own beliefs, values, and best interests instead.

I agree I find this very irratating.....

I will be ready to vote....

What you're posting here is not fair; you need to read all the circumstances of this case. You can find them on Terri Schiavo's website: http://www.terrisfight.org

'Said husband' has already had a child with another woman, yet will not legally divorce Terri because he'll lose whatever money's left from the malpractice settlement. Her parents have been fighting to save this woman, and I'm sorry, but I commend Gov Bush for stepping in. Our legal system is not perfect, and determining the right to life or right to die via alledged hearsay constitutes intervention. Sorry, but killing someone by starvation & dehydration is inhumane. Restriction of family visitation (her parents & siblings) is outright wrong. Denial of rehabiliation (though her Dr's felt it might help her) was wrong. Quotes from her husband, such as (per the hospice staff): "Is the bitch dead yet?", blatantly horrid and uncaring. Please look at her site and find out what was actually happening and how her case was handled.

Why does this always have to be looked upon as a Christian movement? Democrats have a say in what laws are passed as well. I'm sure not every single one of them is against either of this.

1-) Women at health risk and in need of a partial birth abortion is RARE. If they left it open to "special cases", there would be shady clinics and doctors putting down "mother is at risk", in order to proceed with late term abortions. You can bring up the rape scenario, but they have enough time before it becomes a partial birth. While I agree some people should NOT have children, they simply aren't parent material, they can give it up for adoption to the thousands of people on waiting lists. Not every child ends up bouncing from foster care to foster care. Those are usually kids taken away from parents that commit crimes. If you rob a bank and you don't get caught, you're lucky you get away. If you DO get caught, you will be punished. So why should people be able to escape the consequences of other careless actions? You have sex and get pregnant, pay the piper.

Democrats, against the death penalty but kill a baby. Nice! I don't think glorifying abortion is the solution, safe sex awareness should be.

2-) That family was fighting to save that woman's life. You act like Jeb Bush butted in and took control of the situation on his own. That family and supporters were holding demonstrations and BEGGING him to step in. We're not talking about a person lying in a coma, like sleeping beauty. She is awake although her abilities are limited. Who knows what modern medicine can bring in the fture? How do you know she wouldn't want to live that way? That's a he said/she said matter. It's clear he is only about the money involved and wants her dead instead of divorcing her. That's really nice. I hope my family would step in and fight to keep me alive as well and not allow my husband to let me starve to death so he can move on with his life, with money from my tragedy. Her family loves her and wants to keep her around. That's their right more than a husband that already long moved on with another woman, yet wants to take her money with him.

I heard the husband will get phat off insurance money when she "dies" and that he has been through more girls than gynecologist offering 99 cent pap smears since his wife got in that state.

I also heard that HER PARENTS would love to take her in and take care of her.

How can you make an unbiased decision about if your wife should live or die when you have been boning a bunch of other girls & will get paid when your wife dies.

"In a malpractice lawsuit, Terri?s husband personally received over $300,000 for his loss of consortium. Terri was awarded $750,000 from this suit and an additional $250,000 from a separate malpractice lawsuit. The money was awarded to Terri for her care and rehabilitation and to be placed in a Medical Trust Fund. Terri?s husband received his personal award money and Terri?s medical fund money in early 1993. From the date he received the award money in 1993, Michael Schiavo has denied Terri any rehabilitation treatment. Michael Schiavo has confined Terri to a nursing home (currently, Terri is in a Hospice facility) where she is 'maintained.'

Her husband has directed that Terri only be sustained in a nursing home which is contrary to the intent of the award money. Michael Schiavo has on two occasions unsuccessfully attempted to end Terri?s life by instructing her caretakers not to medicate Terri for potentially fatal infections. The first occasion occurred less than nine months after her husband received the malpractice award money."

She's been brain damaged for over a decade. There is no fixing that. She cant live without a machine. How is it wrong to let nature do what nature wants to do and turn off the machine?

He's been engaged to one girl for the last seven years out of ten. I certainly wouldn't remain single if my partner was reduced to a vegetable. Still he sounds like an absolute asshole.

The partial birth abortion bill should have a health clause. It should never have passed in it's current form.
