ISP and Server help?
Hey yall!
Im trying to reach a site, and it says cant be found. The site is up, their traffic is 100% normal at this time. I can reach another site on the exact same box as the one that I cant. My friend that lives an hour north of me, different ISP, has outages at the same time that I do. Anything that I can do? |
Sounds like your ISP is having dns issues. This happens quite often with many isp's. :(
Sometimes you just have to wait it out ... or call thier tech support line and make your voice heard. |

If the problem is with your ISP Name Server Resolution then switching your DNS information on your local machine will cause you to connect to a different name server avoiding this problem.
4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 are some open public name servers from gte I think. XP Platform I think go to Control Panel, Network Connections, Get properties on your active net connection, tcp/ip properties, and their you can find your DNS info. |
