ISP and Server help?
 

Hey yall!

Im trying to reach a site, and it says cant be found. The site is up, their traffic is 100% normal at this time. I can reach another site on the exact same box as the one that I cant. My friend that lives an hour north of me, different ISP, has outages at the same time that I do.

Anything that I can do?

Sounds like your ISP is having dns issues. This happens quite often with many isp's. :(

Sometimes you just have to wait it out ... or call thier tech support line and make your voice heard.

If the problem is with your isp the maximum you can do is call to them. post the url that you unable to see ...

you can't do anything on your end, this should be escaleted to your ISP. had the same problem before:thumbsup

If the problem is with your ISP Name Server Resolution then switching your DNS information on your local machine will cause you to connect to a different name server avoiding this problem.

4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 are some open public name servers from gte I think.

XP Platform I think go to Control Panel, Network Connections, Get properties on your active net connection, tcp/ip properties, and their you can find your DNS info.
