CHOKER - question about TTT
 

Hi,
I wrote this in TTT support forum, but no reply...
I just modified your script just to make it working on Windows2000 server / Internet Information server (W2K/IIS)
There is a bug in IIS which is making your script notz working in this configuration, I made the changes needed. But there is a copyrigts etc... so I hope you'll welcome this. I can send you the changes i made. (HTTP Headers manipulation added)
I Also found and fixed some errors.
1/ there is missing file ttt_test.html - in ttt_toplist directory
2/ there is an error in file ttt-mysqlfunc.inc.php
in function

Well, in case he bans you by giving him a free patch (as I did long time ago) just click on my sig and use CjOverkill. The license allows you to make this kind of changes in order to fit your server needs.

I have taken the liberty of modifying your "Windows" product. I made some modifications so that it will work on a Macintosh. I also noticed a missing .ini file in your "windows/system" directory.

At least MS is willing to listen. Choker takes any thing like this as an attack against him and his "license". What he doesn't get is that this only hurts him. People continue to see that he's just a big baby who hurls insults and threats when he doesn't get his way, on top of the fact that he provides a product that he really don't support all that much. Remember...TTT isn't free. You're paying him with 1% of your traffic. He gets paid, and you get code that is out dated, buggy and has little or no support. Is that worth it? I don't think so.

When you download TTT you agree to the terms. It's that simple. If you do not like the script, then don't use it, again it's that simple. You do not have the right to make changes to the code. If you don't like the script, then don't use it.

I'm not the one who is stealing a scripts... I've tons of my owns, but nothing as universal as TTT is... But I'm on W2K platform... so i modified the script JUST TO MAKE IT WORKING RIGHT.... the traffic is still going to choker. I just make these changes for my own. And I'm offering this update to choker - so there may be 4 ways to go
1) he tells me it's violating his terms and conditions... copyrights etc... And than I may to remove the script from my server - OK, I'll replace for some other script which is on the market
2) he tells me it's violating his terms and conditions, but i can use this script and I will not make a copies for someone other
3) he welcomes it and will give this update on his webpages...
4) choker has other idea what to do...

I hope I'm plaing fair play - i'm going to give it to nobody until choker tells me what to do - It's his script and i know it.

Hey, I LIKE the script, so i wanna use it, but it's not working for me on my platform. I don't modified nothing in own functions... the only thing i added is official workaround to make scripts working on IIS (about 4 lines of code) :)

But if you tells me I have to remove the script from my server and forget about it, I'll :waaaaahh do it.

Microsoft itself is trying to get into the macintosh world... (MAC MSIE etc...) also into unix world (.NET framework). The next thing is ... when I change something for my own in windows (and i made it several times) I'm not going to tell it to monster corporation as is microsoft.
