Email List for Sale
 

I've had an email collector on two sites for roughly 12 months now.
I had plans on sending weekly news letters and promo stuff, but the plans fell through.
Does anyone here buy email addresses? One of the lists is surfers, the other list is webmasters.
The lists are fairly big, and have been cleaned. They've also never been used.

Your right, no they are not generated. The are opt in addresses from a picturees of the day script which I wrote, and from a resource site I used to run.

Two things, true lists are opt-in have the dat etc like the list im brokering.. *get that in lol*

Still considered spamming and would cause spamcop to block because they didn't double opt-in to the buyers website, I have tried this before never works well for both parties except for the guy selling it who makes money:(

I was waiting for the list to get large enough to make it worthwhile to send out to. Then as things went along I forgot about the lists.
Yes I have the dates of the opt in, to prove it's a good list.
The webmaster list I'm not too sure I want to get rid of that one yet, depends on the price, but yes I have the dates for that too.

Once they signup for the list they receive an email with a click to confirm. Does that answer your opt in question?

Thats not what I meant, waht meant was lets say they come to xyz.com and signup and double opt-in for whatever xyz.com has to offer, then xyz.com sells the list to zyx.com and then sends out a spam offering their product, well the person who signed up for xyz.com just got spammed by zyx.com and didn't rememeber signing up for zyx.com so tehy report the spam to spamcop then your blacklisted for x amoutn of days from sending to anyone who uses spamcop service on their host or server or even worse yoru reported to your isp and you lose your hosting account or even your connection.

I know I have bought lists in the past for adult surfer traffic and it just doesn't work well for the buyer, it ends up in a disaster:(

How does having dates (or ip addresses for that matter) prove the list is any good? Its just as easy to make up dates as it is to make up email addresses.
