Any help?

Besides fixing fonts:
#1 - Correct brightness / light #2 - Do not split the page into so many images #3 - Put something clickable at the bottom #4 - Use fireworks |

try to explore photoshop's help option... lots of tutorials there that will help you improve your site.
gudluck :thumbsup |
The main guy your using is by no means a twink to start. Also the fonts, colors, etc are all just not that good. Sorry man but this needs a ot of work.
|
that design sucks badly
ever heard of anti-alias? |

not very good.. I need to throw up now..
|
the background's pretty dodgy too!
|
For a first design its not that bad at all - you have chosen a model that has nice eye contact and your text is clear and to the point. However, overall the design is too dull in colour and contrast. The pure red does not seem to work with the browns; and the green/red gradient on the button text is doesn't work well either. (Text that small should only have a very sublte gradient if any at all).

--> Fireworks is more user friendly for a noob. |
but seriously man, rethink all of your colour choices, choose a twink looking guy, as hamlet said, the eye contact's a good idea... but the colours are very dull!
|
Keep trying man, it takes a while.
Practice study, practice more study. If its your first, congratualtions you have arrived to a much bigger road ahead. Study design and understand principals of commercial design. There is alot to it all and on the net every pixel counts. Keep practicing though, you will get better. 1/4 the battle to becomming a designer is deciding to pick up a design environment and actually begin somthing. |
anti-alias is your friend!
|
and try to find more matching colors in your color scheme. The red and green and yellow combo isn't that easy to the eye.
|
the images are WAY, WAY too chopped up. don't use that many at all.

this thread should have a disclaimer on it... you've ruined my dinner.
|
this thread is gay, im just fucking waking up bastards
|
the background is terrible.. change it to a "single color" and not those "raster bars"..
|
For a first effort, it's not bad at all. You need to read the positive critiques in this post and throw out the harsh criticism. Then just bear down and work hard at it...you'll do great.

For those who posted positive feedback, thanks.
Here's what I have so far: 1) choose differing colors 2) choose a twink model 3) antialias the lettering 4) fine/high quality compression 5) buy a font pack with more diverse fonts anyone else? |
