Normally I really hate hot drinks, but for some reason this is hitting the spot. This is the closest you'll actually see me to drinking real coffee. :P

Um... That's not coffee and certainly not cappauccino.
The powder used in those machines lists coffee about 10th in the ingredient list.

About 7 years ago I had the chance to invest in a Tim Hortons before the craze really hit. I declined and have been kicking myself ever since. The franchise fee was under 100K and now I dont even want to know how much it is. I tried to get into Krispy Kreme but the franchise rights for Ottawa are sold! Damn... If anyone is going to give Tims a run, Krispy Kreme will.

I know they aren't really coffee as I used to work in a coffee shop but, there is no good espresso by my work!

Crazy canadians like regular coffee more the espresso drinks it seems, thats why Tim Hortons and those types of coffee shops do so good! In the states, having a coffee shop without espresso is no good! (at least in California)

That was way more than 7 years ago my friend. I researched Timmy Ho's thoroughly while in college, which was 93-94ish.
I spent a great deal of time in their head office, as well as the school where new franchisees are trained. At that time the sticker price was 400k, or 450k with a drive-thru.
And dont forget the 40% liquid cash required to even be considered :-/
