Yeah, every site has a right to get listed, and there is always going to be desire/competiton for high placement.

What I'm objecting to is people who cheat/spam to fill up whole pages of results with the same pages of ads.

No one with real sites likes the people who fill up pages of results with spam listings.

I realize very few people place any importance on fairness,
(and isn't it fun to chuckle at those suckers who do play fair?)
especially when $$ are involved.

However, the search engines also say it's not allowed,
but they're not smart enough to detect/prevent abuse yet.

It should be obvious that surfers would prefer to see all relevant 'parent' sites that match their search before many
pages of ads for the same parent site over and over again.

That's why I used my site as an example. I know not only 'camgirls' are spammed out of the searches.

If sites with the relevant content had 1% of an idea of what to do they could all rank higher than any spammer ever could. But no, they all exchange links with any other whore who comes there way and they all want " welcome to my home page " to be there most important term.
Its not so much the fault of search engines there is spam as stupid dumb fuck webmasters who don't bother to read or try to understand the rules search engines require to work under todays limited technology, these are usually the ones who lodge spam complaints and whine the loudest.

I hate to sound mean... but if you rely on search engines for traffic... you're already fucked.

Search engine listings should be a bonus...and a small one at that.. :2 cents:

As far as reading the SE rules, google consideres any type of SEO wrong. Optimizing your pages and cloaking, using doorway pages, etc is the same as what these guys are doing, as long as they provide relevant results.

As for SE only being a bonus, alot of people beg to differ. :Graucho
