Be glad if your se's dont show up because then you know something is wrong right away and can fix it.

The new breed of these make exact replica's of the target se's and run their own ads thru the se's banner spots. Making it almost impossible to tell that your not seeing the real thing.

I noticed on a friends computer the other day he went to " the hun " and there was a popup on the first page, and i thought hmm thats strange i have never seen a popup at thehun on the first page before , and sure enough his hosts file had been changed and someone was running popups on the 10 most popular porn sites, but they werent removing the intended site they were just making you see one more ad .

If you noticed your hooked dont just remove the junk from your hosts file and assume you safe. It will re-write it sometimes in a day sometimes a week.

A great program to download is cwshredder, its made for the coolwebsearch trojans but it will work on most of them .
