If not, I would probably work as little as I could and spend a lot of time at home with my family.

A friend of mine has cancer. She is 39 and has 3 minor children.
They found out in January, same thing, you have one year to live.

She is so sick and can't do anything, so they basically made sure that all the finances were in order, the kids were taking care off,, etc etc

Before she became sick we often made jokes and said, hey what would you do if you had one year to live, (party, blah blah) now that these jokes have come reality for her and she will pass by christmas, i look back and see.

That if you do have one year to live, you will be suffering greatly. She always says, don't ever wish to know when you pass. Its the most horrible thing to know

At the very least, I hope :1orglaugh (although I'm aiming for about 70 more)

Doesn't do shit. But there's a lot you can do with the money in 1 year.

Buy an island and ship all your family members out there. Hire couple of chefs and some maids.
Then you can scuba dive, hiking, fishing, sailing and god knows what for a year :)

i would fly a bunch of columbians out there... then pass on a new cartel

What good would it do? Would you want to spend your last year as if it was a normal vacation?
And, if that's what you really want most of all, why aren't you living your life like that right now already? It's quite possible.
