LCD TV prices are going down faster than a two dollar whore..
|
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh
It'll only go down until something better is created :thumbsup |
:thumbsup
|
it's due to the manufacturing process. apparently, it's very poor. something like only 1 in 4 displays coming off the assembly line actually work.

Well, I'd have to say it will be one bad-ass world we live in when EVERY TV is an LCD, and they're dirt cheap.
|
I like mine bigger... so plasma is here to stay:thumbsup
|
What is the viewing angle like on LCD tv's though? I know that is the main draw of plasma, (besides the size) the wide viewing angle and the fact that they are still usable in bright rooms.
|
anybody hear about the new thin displays? they are thin as paper, and can be made to any size. pretty fucking cool shit, interactive paper :)
oh yeah, they're flexible like paper as well.. |
Im grabbing the 42" gateway plasma for $2k... gotta get the extended warranty with it as well... lifespan of plasmas suck i heard

the lcd tv's i've seen look like shit compared to a tube or plasma...
|
The best displays I've seen are the ones using DLP technology. Next in line are the LCD models and then the Plasma's in last place.
The most incredible picture I've seen is on that new 30" Sony. Circuit City carries it. The thing is so sharp it looks like a photograph is on the display. http://www.sonystyle.com/intershopro...W-TUNER_DO.jpg |
LCD's look good, was just checking the out yesterday. I have a couple plasmas, and they are not worth the $.

We should stop calling them TV's.
TV is your enemy -- the internet is your friend. Just wait until those big TV network guys realize they are fucked -- by guess who... |

I've read that they recommend LCD TV's up to 32-40", above that you should go for a Plasma.
Got a Sony 42" Plasma myself, not the newest model KRL posted, but the one before that, Saw the lastest Sony 42" Plasma for sale here in Spain at ?9600. Bet it's cheaper in the US. |
