alcohol + nipple ring = bleeding, how to stop???
Friend of mine got her tit pirced today then went to the bar, now she's bleeding and she's worried cause it's quite a bit. Anyone know a way to stop it? She was told by the guy who did it to not put towels on it cause of the dust from towels getting into the hole.

Pull the slut badge out, put a band-aid on it. Problem solved.

after its been pierced, it bleeds. unless its making geysers, you're best advised to not touch it, and jsut let it clot. warm shower that night, antiseptic, blowddry.
keep towels away from them :) |

You can get clotting agents at a Pharmacy for when you accidently cut yourself shaving. That might work.

not sure about bloody piercings, but the general rule to stop bleeding is to hold gauze on it for a good 10 minutes or longer to give it a chance to clot. Don't remove it to look at it, or the 'clotting clock' starts again. If she's been drinking, it might take even longer. I would do 30 no-peeking minutes (time it) to be safe and once she removes it, the bleeding should be under control and 30 shouldn't be so long that the gauze is stuck to her chest. Tell her to go to bed (on her back) after that and stop moving!
PS. Use gauze that's individually wrapped--don't use a roll unless it's new. Hope her tit gets better! |
stop drinking... alchohol thins the blood which certainly doesnt help with clotting.

Thanks guys. SHe got it under control. Poor girl was scared shitless, it was bleeding pretty bad.

In case she's tempted to take the advice NEVER take the jewellery out until the hole is healed (or at least more or less so). It will simply leave a fully open wound which can make matters worse. Besides - with some decent lint free dressings bleeding is no bad thing as it keeps the wound clean :)

i'm a tattooer/piercer myself,my advice would be leave it and wash it in a few hours, drink lots of apple juice that makes the blood thikker(is that a good word)
