EDIT- This is the manual way.......

Read it all before you do anything:

Make sure all windows are closed (no browsers or programs have to be open)
Right Click on Start--> Left Click on Explore-->
It opens a screen go on the left side scroll to
Windows then--->Cookies ---> Click Edit on the top bar ---> Select All ---> Delete (the bottom left button on top of your arrow keys)

When the files are clean go to ---> History --->Click Edit on the top bar ---> Select All ---> Delete
Then go to---> TEMP --->Click Edit on the top bar ---> Select All ---> Delete
Then go to--->Temporary Internet Files --->Click Edit on the top bar ---> Select All ---> Delete
Under Temporary Internet Files you have CONTENT IE (or IE5)Click on that --->Click Edit on the top bar ---> Select All ---> Delete (or click on each of those files '16MKJSBN' type of file names & delete them

Remember, if it's not working it's because there is an 'index' file and those can't be deleted
Then on Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Disk Cleanup--> choose Drive C: --> make sure everthing is clicked (except any Windows files that you've kept after an upgrade) --> and then click on ok to clean the recycle bins

To Scan your disk for errors Click ---> Start-->Program Files-->Accessories-->System Tools-->ScanDisk-->Highlight C: then click Thorough ---> & then Ok and let it scan your disk for errors.

To Defrag your disk Click ---> Start-->Program Files-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Defragment--> Select Drive C: & then ok This one could take an hour or more to finish.
