JA\/A$CRlPT CHALLENGE
I surrender. :helpme
I really want to implement something for the front page of my site, and I really need help from a j*v*scr*pt guru. please see the script demo on this page: http://j*v*scr*pt.internet.com/miscellaneous/random-image-rotator.html (sorry, you'll have to replace the *s with vowels due to board censorship) what I would like to do is set up a 3x3 table of images (100x75) that will all do the same thing and work together. the goal is a more advanced version of what the front of my site looks like now: http://www.camchicks.com/ I want to be able to load in tons of thumbed archives so that my site will look different/dynamic every time. can anyone create this for me? (cross-browser please) .. might be a fun challenge for someone geekier than me.. I can't afford prize money, but I'll send you a t-shirt! http://www.camchicks.com/cctshirt.jpg |
Message me on icq at 237842929. Maybe i can help.
|

I just couldnt get it to work in multiple instances. (and I don't know anything about PHP/CGI/etc) I assume there's some easy fix/work-around for occasions like this .. but I'm not educated enough to know how. |
i'd say use php...

if one of those girls would suck my dick i'd show you how i did my random image on http://www.webseth.com ... it works with multiple directories of images of any type. (doesnt have to use the Gallery software i do since i developed it before i migrated)
it shoudlnt be hard or processor expensive to just grab 9 random images with a quick check if its already been picked for the previous ones. and mine picks from a pool of about 6200 images at this point and runs very fast. it is PHP though not js, js is VERY expensive to use if you have more than about a dozen images to choose from. - Seth |
Hit me up for a great Perl Script...
You just img source the perl script and get a random pic. Works for thumbs, big pics, and even video. Give me a permanent text link and my script is yours! |
I think she's looking for a script that doesn't just shows 9 random pics once, but keeps refreshing them with new, random ones even while the user stays on the page.

Post an icq number I will help you with this for free.:thumbsup

the script I want to use is right here: http://j*v*scr*pt.internet.com/miscellaneous/random-image-rotator.html (insert vowels) all I need to know is how to make it work 9 times together, (in a 3x3 table) instead of just at 1 location. -9 individual (100x75) image locations on the page -each randomly pulling from a list of predefined .jpgs -each rotating / pulling random new ones (from the list) every couple seconds visually, you can get a really good idea of what I'm trying to achieve with this from the .gif on the front of my site.
