i decided i want to go there.

anyone recommend any good hotels? or which areas are better?

are hilton's typically pretty nice right?

Caesars Park. It's on the end closest to the airport.

Moon Palace was highly recommended from some of my family....clean (very clean), beautiful but pricey

That's it- I'm sorry. It used to be Caesars Park and I always call it that, but it's The Hilton Cancun Golf and Beach Resort now. It's near the Westin, which is also nice . The Melia Turquesa is okay, too. Not as nice, but they used to run some amazing airfare/hotel packages. IMO the Hilton is the best place there. I can send you some pics of the last time I was there if you want. I'm sure they have a website.
