InnoDB Engine For Large Searchable databases.
Anyone have an experience with it?
Is it helpfull for a site with a large amount of sql calls? Does the hot backup work? I'm thinking of using it but not sure if its worth the ram. :helpme |
I chose PostgreSQL over InnoDB. From the studing over which of the two were better, PostgreSQL came out ahead for me. PostgreSQL seem to be more stable have certain features I needed that InnoDB doesn't have (yet).

InnoDB works very fine
I deal with it (I run a powerful billing system with large amount of queries) more than 1 year and can say it is very good InnoDB is more slow than f.e. mysql with INNODB tables. But still very fast and much more powerful and reliable than lots of other DB For hotbackup u need an util off innodb site but there are many other tools for backuping |
