Fucking Email Problem... HELP!!
Ok getting pissed off now, I just answered 200 e-mails and 90% came back with errors like this:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: RE: Order Confirmation Sent: 17/10/2003 00:27 The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 'Phil Bardsley' on 17/10/2003 00:28 550 5.7.1 <[email protected]>... Relaying denied Now i thought this might be something to do with because I am using univerity campus Internet but I did a few test emails to my yahoo account with keywords such as sex etc in but still went through. Then i thought it might be norton antivirus stopping emails from going out so turned it off. Then i thought it might be because I had to change my outgoing email smtp to one on my dedicated server.. But having got these 200 emails back i have done several tests which seem none of the above seem to be reason why I am getting this error message. Anyone help? I am going out of my mind at 3am in the morning! |
Could be some of your filters

yes 46335817
and im not formatting c: !! Ive set no filters up or anything... |
relaying denied is the error you get when your outgoing mailserver says "you're not allowed to send mail through me"
Shouldn't have anything to do with the content of the mail. If you're on a campus you need to make sure you have authorization to send through their smtp server. Hmm, maybe check to make sure you're using the campus smtp server. The golden rule is, use the smtp server of the ISP you're currently using. If trying to send through your dedicated box make sure you ask the admin to enable relaying for you. You might have to provide an IP. HTH |
hit me up if you like 221577896 I can probably help you

Probably this then:
" If trying to send through your dedicated box make sure you ask the admin to enable relaying for you. You might have to provide an IP." Im trying to send through dedicated box |
It's your SMTP.
