Hey Ya? That's not a gangsta song. It's pure happy pop. The innocent TRL crowd loves that record. All rappers aren't gangsta foo.

jacker 10-16-2003 11:52 AM

Church - great track...

TDF 10-16-2003 11:52 AM

its just another evolution of Outkast. having been a fan since SOuthernplayalisticcadillacfunkymusic I have seen the step up musically each album. They keep pushing the lines fo hiphop and taking it to a higher level

True. Has anyone heard Q-tip's album "Kamal the Abstract"?
Its a breath of fresh air from the day-to-day bullshit we hear...plenty of cool rythms and poetry. Its where alot of the
ol' schoolers are heading these days - I can dig it.

Outkast is universally accepted (theonion.com)

I love that new album, and I hate most rap that's come out in the past 5-6 years. Outkast has always been different, all their albums are fucked up but great. Ever other rapper is trying to be a ganster or showing off his "bling bling", they're doing their own thing. :2 cents:

sweetcuties 10-16-2003 01:48 PM

I love that song... vid is original

KRL 10-16-2003 01:52 PM

That's one of the few hip hop vids I think is really well done and the song is good too.

But what do I know, I'm not a g

debbieN 10-16-2003 02:12 PM

I saw the video the other day and thought it was funny and difficult to put the same person at all spots (still keeping the beat).

The "Love Haters" (three guys dressed as emerald city lawn jockeys) made me chuckle. I'ts good to make fun the our f*cked up past.

:stoned

SetTheWorldonFire 10-16-2003 02:15 PM

I would'nt bump it but it's a nice track.

outkast is original :thumbsup

Mike AI 10-16-2003 02:32 PM

That is one of the best songs on the CD!

I love the video as well.

It is priceless... One reason I like OUtkast so much is that they are creative, and always pushing boundaries....

I have to say though, over all the new CD is not that good.

deniska 10-16-2003 03:19 PM

The new outcast cd sucks... :2 cents:

You are so right. I hated the new albums but they are really starting to grow on me and I have to take back everything bad I said about it. I havn't taken speakerboxx out of my car in 2 weeks :)

marcu5 10-16-2003 05:01 PM

i like andre 3000 alot.. anything thats outside the box is good to me..

she lives in my lap
she's alive
dracula's wedding
prototype..

i dont see how you could not like the album.

bhutocracy 10-16-2003 05:19 PM

i pissed myself laughing when i saw that video - im thinking it's an elaborate piss take intro or something... waiting for them to bust up the pop stuff and get with the hip hop.. then it starts dragging on... im not an outkast fan in the slightest I only know one or two of their songs.. but after a minute I realise that they're serious and I cack it even louder... the "love haters" are funny as fuck. I think I actually don't mind them now after that song... they're obviously not afraid of pissing people off. good stuff.

Rorschach 10-16-2003 07:12 PM

Some absolutely killer babes in that clip. :thumbsup

Xplicit 10-16-2003 08:14 PM
