Does anybody know anything about the subject of income splitting for small corporations in running your adult biz?

For example, Alberta has ~18% tax on <= $300k and Nevada ~20% tax on <= $75k. So if your US company takes in all the income it's inefficient because you should pay out a consulting fee to the Alberta company every year to reduce taxes to the higher taxed US co...

Just wondering in general if income splitting like this is legit and also if a company can be be paid by another company a consulting fee in place of paying an actual individual...
