Fuckin' A! Finally found a house!
 

Couple weeks back I received notice from the owners of my apartment complex that they were kicking us out and turning everything into condos. Terrible timing, but oh well, we had until Christmas to move out.

I was planning on buying a place next summer, but after talking with a few people I figured I might as well just buy now. Was a little nervous about the time frame involved, so we kept shopping for houses to rent.

Finally found a pretty nice house by the mountains in San Carlos (suberb of San Diego). It's an actual house instead of some crappy place like most I've seen out here. Figured I could live in a rental for the next 6-12 months until I find something I WANT (instead of NEED) to buy, so we filled out the applications and sent them in.

Met with the management company yesterday and we're in! Sweet! Now the joy of moving, blech.

General area but a little further away than a hike. Little bit east of Del Cerro (sp?). Go north on College or Lake Murray and you'll get there. It's a decent little area, much better than College Area and La Mesa. So it's a definite upgrade from where I'm at now.

and I know the bleh feeling of moving ... I'm not starting to move till next month but the horror we have already endured cleaning out the attic and cellar is enough to drive someone to drink.

The costs are outragious moving also. Penske was the cheapest out of the big 4 we called for renting a truck. And they wanted 1k per trip. Well we have to make 3 trips so we ended up looking for a used moving truck. Finaly found one going to pick it up tommorow.

BTW folks I'll be out of the office tommorow.

Yep, you're right. I don't own just yet. Need some time to find a place I like. Next spring/summer hopefully!
