"NEW YORK (Reuters) - A New York ferry slammed into a pier while docking in high winds on Wednesday, killing at least 10 people and injuring dozens more as passengers' limbs were severed and others leaped into the choppy water to escape being crushed in the wreckage."

10 people killed? wtf how fast can a fairy go?

When I lived in New York, I used to have to take that ferry from the city out to Staten Island sometimes and let me tell you, they drive those things like bumper cars pulling into the docks.

I grew up in Seattle where we've got really big ferries, and then put those big ferries in so gently you don't even know you've landed.

In New York, they drive those things in like a fucking shopping cart.. I'm amazed there haven't been more problems with those things. (shrug)
