Hawaiian snow
that's what we call it when they burn the cane fields. They did it a few weeks ago, and they're doing it again now. Big black cane ash falling from the sky. Not much of it down here on the south point, but enough drifts over to make a mess on my deck. And the smell of a campfire in the air.
