I'm now buying $400k-$500k homes to lease out. That's the only place I will put my money.

I cashed out of Rick's stock for another $4 million after receiving another $2 million in cash when they bought XXXPASSWORD.COM and I still make 1/2 the profit for admisinistering it and that's just one of our Paysites.

I would usually never post all this but I'm rusty at pissing and Brad needs some new goals to shoot at :)

For the record, I agree. Your thoughts?

I think its smart to own your own home. I also think its smart to borrow at low rates on some rental property..

50 Cent 10-14-2003 11:24 PM

FM is good people ! I agree with him 100%

quiet 10-14-2003 11:24 PM

i pretty much agree. i own my current home, and i'm building a new home with no mortgage.

all of my vehicles are bought with cash.

no debt whatsoever.

GeXus 10-14-2003 11:24 PM

Depending on how much money you have, should it depend on wheather you should outright own your home.. some of the richest people in the world, are also in the most dept. If you take out a mortage on a home or appartment building for say 1million. Then you rent out space, and you make a profit each month, there is no reason to tie up your own money into it.. Its always better to make money with someone elses money. If you buy a home with your own money, in hopes that it will appreciate.. as a meens to make money.. that is more risk as well as less predictible in terms of profit.

i borrow for leaveraged segrated funds (credit proof and capital guarentees) - plus the interest on the loan is a write off!

I have an avalance and a grand prix.

and if you want to call them vechiles....a little bayliner runabout boat and 2 quads.....

(everything bought new - with cash of course)

debating getting snomobiles this year but there's been VERY little snow the last few years...

SleazyDream 10-14-2003 11:38 PM

had to stay the night over in ft lauterdale with cybercat on the way back from the island gathering a couple of weeks ago. he let me drive his new mercedies 55sl. I got it up to 160mph on the highway with the top down. mark says it'll do 190mph with the top up. Fastest I've ever driven in a car. VERY SWEET.

160mph was enough - lol

one thing amazed me, often when I came up on a trucker real fast outa nowhere often the asshole would move into the center of the road forcing me to slow down. I was amazed that they'd actually do that - seemed like a real asshole thing to do but Mark told me they do it all the time there.

Quiet - or anyone else, have you ever experienced that here in the porche?

i've also got another sports car ('03 Honda S2000 convertible), and an '02 Mercedes C320 4matic - my winter car.

i really like quads, but don't own any. i'm buying a boat once my new place is finished...

Marcus 10-14-2003 11:44 PM

The thing with real estate is that you're in control and can easily do things to raise the value of your property.

With stocks you have absolutely no control over what they do. You can't do anything to increase their value.

Jimbo 10-14-2003 11:47 PM

sleazy, get rid of that bayliner and buy a searay.

slavdogg 10-14-2003 11:47 PM

i own bunch of rental properties
nothing wrong with playing with someone else's money while making a profit.

all my properties appreciate at an avg of 10% a year.

OHHH YEAH if what you want is fun, you'll have plenty on the jet boat. Might be less fun to gaz it 2 times per day tho hehe. Bayliners aren'T good boats in my book, but if it's for fun it's another thing, I dunno how big yours is.

it's 45mph. actually slower.
22 feet though and better take off speed.

50mph is quite fast for a boat - not many are fater than that. most of the higher end ones are about the same speed (give or take 5mph)- just a lot bigger.

makefuckingmoney 10-15-2003 12:23 AM

I live with my mom and pop and blow all my money on hookers and drugs..

TOP THAT!

KRL 10-15-2003 12:25 AM

Solid strategy. You just have to be sure you buy properties at the right price point and with the right market timing cycle to max your profits.

damn I tough those jet boats could go at least 60mph

yeah take off is obviously MUCH MUCH better, it's good for water ski :Graucho

maxjohan 10-15-2003 12:50 AM

damn, it's just so much talk about this who owns who with cash.

Insufferable Stupidity!

Watch out for self-made guys in their 30's because many of them are just as insufferable (and dangerous) to themselves and others as I was.

I see no reason to own a house (especially a non-rental investment) outright.... unless you are incapable of managing money wisely or just plain paranoid.

6-pack? and i agree, depending on your total assets, which might change my opinion.

Before one belives FM story check out Case BD 303 016 Los Angeles Superour Court, Septeber 29, 2000. Ron Levi vs. Lisa levi. Someone post a username and password and will scan the file and post it - makes great reading. Us gals should all get lawyers like that

Yeah, it's me dude... I got tired of Joe Average.

My total assets are about AUD$40,000 more than the value of the house. That's all I have, but because I'm not paying off some huge motherfucking mortgage my week to week living expenses are negligible.

Owning my house gives me security... and capital gains. I bought it for AUD$139,500 in late 1997 and now it's worth AUD$350,000. I like making money that I don't have to work for. I love to take it easy and hate hard work. I am a man of leisure. ;)

Believe me, she did not get 50%. She made have gotton alot of $, but not 50%. I know for a fact Ron was hiding $, even made a call to me once regarding his divorce.

As for boats, I have owned a bayliner (decent boat, like a ford), sea doo jet boat (piece of shit), and now have a crownline (paid cash;-). If you can afford it, I would buy a Crownline ($30k for a 20 footer). Or if you wanna be a real player, buy a donzi or cobalt.
