anyone invest in real estate?
 

i know a guy that is buying up bunchs of land just south of playa del carmen, on the caribbean beachs, just north of belize border.

Any speculations from anyone on here about the possible increase or decrease in value? and or investing in land in foreign countries?

its slated to get roads, and everything else it needs, the mexican government is helping out with all that, as they want to turn it into a boom area for tourism and all that.

Good possibility in the long term. My guess is probably 10 years it will be worth some good coin.

government funding = potentially big.

idoubt there is alot of poverty around that area... setup an island resort town and make bling.

I would be careful buying land in a foreign country..

They could just kick you out and steal your land in some countries..

They did it to a ton of americans in mexico..

i would invest in rental houses. you get the $ per month and make a little bit, and also you get the increase in value.
