Warning Treo 270 PDA/Cell phone
 

I don't know if any of you guys have purchased this wonderful gadget ? or the Treo 300 even the latest 600. Great idea you can get online from almost anywhere in the world check your e-mail even make calls from most countries. But and this is a big Butt, what they don't tell you is the battery is not replaceable. So as you all know rechargeable batteries wear out after about 500 charges. Well my Treo is about 18 months old and sure enough the battery will no longer charge. So i asked Handspring what i should do about this and they said it needs repair ?.
No it doesn't i replied it just needs a new battery. Yep that's a repair $175.00 plus $25 overnight shipping plus tax. FUCK if that isn't a rip off . So be warned none of these units have replaceable batteries they have to be sent in for a replacement unit. Never again will i buy from a company that dose not disclose these fact on their site Or a company that is so short sighted as to build a highly desirable piece of equipment with no thought to it lasting more than 1 year. At almost $745.00 its a fucking expensive 12 months.
