Bansheelinks 10-14-2003 03:42 PM

Hey Bradshaw,

please make a public post on how to handle these motherfuckers

thanks

nobull 10-14-2003 03:44 PM

I say that we all hitbot the shit out of the page......100 people doing that for a couple days should make his fucking hosting bil more then he will want to deal with.... let meknow if any of you are in, I'll even supply a nice list of http proxies if you will run it with me.

BradShaw 10-14-2003 03:47 PM

First thing to do is get some good password protection software. You can also block traffic from that domain, I am not tech whiz, but I understand it is pretty easy to do.

Unfortunately, there are sponsors who happily take this traffic. Leo was recently at an all expense paid function put on by a major industry sponsor.

see thats the other thing i was thinking, my 401 page is kinda like a join page, so lets see what i get tonight for signups off from it. We monitor our usage stats everyday (access per account and so on) so we have never had an account that is posted on a free password site go for more then 12 hours, but Leo sent some major traffic....so we will see if it converts...i'll keep you all posted

Bansheelinks 10-14-2003 03:54 PM

You are kidding me Bradshaw?

That is sick.

skillfull 10-14-2003 03:55 PM

hum, for the first time i officialy approve a BradShaw post
lets thoses fuckers END their shitty biz

Dawgy 10-14-2003 03:57 PM

i think most major password sites do very well with sponsors. so you burn a few 100 gig. i bet u get a rise in signups thatll make it worth the frustration.

i dont condone password trading, but password sites can be useful if used properly.

Lens was just a smart focker getting in Leo's pants while he could....

and ohh yeah get Password Sentry to keep leechers out, its cheap and very effective and you can customize just about anything...redirects etc...max login attempts etc etc....

hey MM.. interesting you should mention this.. say the traffic does convert... how bad is the credit/cb's and retention beings the people who bookmark password sites... obviously do not want to pay in the first place...
?????

That's where I met Leo, I believe we had a conversation with him and Greg in the pool as well.

KRL 10-14-2003 05:21 PM

Ultrapasswords has been around a long time and I doubt anyone is going to take them down anytime soon, since they are connected to some of the big advertisers in the biz.

I will tell you that I have been getting about 3 signups an hour from my 401 page...the funny thing is I put up a very scary message on my 401 page and pop a couple of other sites.... but i just got this email from some dude that was using the password site to get into my site for free, i think he must have shit his pants when my 401 message came up:

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

I fucking hate those fucking fucks.

MetaMan 10-14-2003 09:25 PM

ultrapasswords is here to stay, get some half decent pass security idiots, they are all brute force broken or stripped off an xxx pass crack channel in irc,

they are going no where, and i dont if leo still runs it but there is more then ultrapasswords in the network of sites from the same owner.

and if u are listed there u are listed everywhere else, other pass sites will harvest their inventory of passes, just like a tgp category site would galleries.

update security or die.

Hardcore J 10-14-2003 09:30 PM

The simple solution is to email the guys at ultrapasswords telling them to put your site on their "blacklist" so that they will never "hack it." I did, and they have never posted passes to my sites.

I could have taken them down a few years ago. But the legal bills were simply not worth the hassle. I did get a default judgement, then a "settlement" with leo. Was simply not worth putting my $ into his ass while people in the biz were paying him $1000's a month. He has a court order not to list my sites...........

Interesting, why do courts not care about the password trading?

I mean, posting other kinds of passwords to access other types of systems will get you assraped in a man jail.

excellent point. my friend posted a program on his website that got aol passwords back about 6 or 7 years ago and he got a visit from the fbi. people do the same with porn sites passwords and its legal. they both are internet services that you pay around $20 a month for, i dont see the difference.
