Simple question about autorank

I've been dicking with this thing all day, and everything seems to be working fine except one thing. I would'nt bring the troubleshooting to this forum, but it seems on their support forum; it's a bunch of lost souls pleading for help.

I have evrything set up, and I was under the impression that the software would automatically put a generated HTML page in my htdocs, but instead, they end up in my 'data' file in my cgi-bin. My question is:

Is this supposed to happen? Or did I screw something up and it's being generated in the wrong place? It seems I have to manually go into my cgi-bin, copy the HTML page and paste it into my htdocs just to get it uploaded correctly....

Anyone with experience with this and an answer is appreciated.:)

If you are talking about AutoRank Pro, I can probably walk you through it. Hit me up on ICQ

No ICQ here, it is autorankpro, though...

I hate taking up board space for this, but there are a few things you can check...

In Edit Variables & Option from your admin screen

Under Directory Setup
HTML Directory:
Make sure that is set to the directory you want the ranking pages created in.
Example: /web/home/username/docs/autorank

Under URL Setup
HTML URL:
This is the full URl to where you want the ranking pages created, in other words, the URL to the HTML directory above.
Example: http://www.domain.com/autorank

Make sure those are set right, then scroll to the bottom, and click on "Save This Data"

Go back to your main admin page, and select rerank list, and execute function. This will build the ranking pages.

Make sure the directory where you are writing the html in to is chmoded 777, and you might want to take out the file you copied and pated in there...I'm not sure if the script will rewrite over that one or not since it was not generated by the script itself.
