whats it up to now?

BradShaw 10-13-2003 09:29 PM

Lets hope there is no insider trading going on. Buying stock by big company owners, and then they sign licence. I know one person who did this, and it was not FM............. Already emailed the SEC.

If you examine the stock charts, it appears something funky is going on. Does not take a genius to figure out what it is either.............

You just love ratting people out on everything don't ya Brad :)
Insider trading is one hell of a serious ordeal, I just speculate as to how you found out...

I have never owned any Acacia stock, nor would I. Personal moral values. Actually, I am not the one who turned people in orginally. But I did throw an email SEC's way if they needed any help. Someones mouth as too big.

I was involved in a conference call last week with several industry veterans and this topic came up. Seems I was not the only one thinking the same thing....

If they bragged about it on a conference call, yeah, that was a really bad move...

WG

FlyingIguana 10-13-2003 09:41 PM

i doubt anyone would be prosecuted for insider trading relating to acacia. its no secret companies are giving in, i'm not sure any one company makes that much of an impact on their share price.

insider trading is tough to prosecute in the first place. stupid law...

BradShaw 10-13-2003 09:46 PM

I am not a lawyer, or a stock broker. But I have a feeling it is against SEC rules to go buy $100k of stock if you have "inside" info that a company is about to license one of the biggest players in the business, before it is public info. Once again, I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV.

the problem is proving it. acacia is nailing a ton of companies.

Looks like someone bought a shit load on a particualr day according to that chart.

Several days later another spike.

Intresting.

As a share holder this would be a good time to unload before the physical quartely numbers correct it for them. The price is no doubt driven up by some indviudual spikes at convient times.

I gotta agree with Brad on this, volume went up nearly 6 fold in early september and then within a few days settlements rolling in. That should definitely raise some red flags with the SEC...

WG

BradShaw 10-13-2003 09:55 PM

There have been a few announcements. To my untrained eye, it looks like there "could" be a big jump in volume shortly before these announcements. Like I said, someone who used to be a stock broker, who is now in the biz pointed this out to me. I know little about the market, maybe ask Serge.

WiredGuy 10-13-2003 09:56 PM

Does anyone have a list of who announced settlements from Sep 1st to Sep 15th by the way?

Yeah like my announcement from my discovery:
1989 Video from AT&T Labs "Pandora" project defeats Acacia patent claims!

SEC has been tipped off.

If anyone is onto the same people I have heard rumors about, may wanna contact the SEC. They take this stuff VERY seriously.

No doubt... Looking through the news archives of who settled between the dates where volume spiked, I have a hunch and I simply hope I'm wrong about it...

Very interesting ...
not surprising though.
This smells like another "Enron" + stock manipulation.
"pump & dump" has a long tradition for those ripping off securities ...

Acacia is all about it's stock and public relations, media spin, and "perceived victories" ...

The bubble is bursting ...

SELL ...

I bought at $1.60 :thumbsup

kmanrox 10-14-2003 01:38 AM

if this person was as big a player as you say he is, i'd imagine he'd be smart enough to find a way to do it untraceably...but then again, look at martha stewart....

pornguy 10-14-2003 05:28 AM

I bought it at 1.80$ per. I did not put much into it, and I have it set to sell at 8.80$.

But someone posted a thread that says that AT&T has prior art and may be able to void their claim. There goes the stock.

Thanks, Brad, it would be nice to see some porn names in connection with inside trading,

This may or may not indicate insider trading - obviously it depends who was buying the stocks, but it's not unusual for stock prices to 'correct' themselves before announcements are even made, such is the nature of an efficient market...

Having said that, I'd be curious to know more about who was responsible for the jump in volume...

dchottie 10-14-2003 05:40 AM

is there not anywhere that a company is obliged to list it's stockholders? Something available via public record showing who is buying.

I may be wrong but I think the SEC can just walk in and demand to see records without a court order.

They will not need to be rocket scientists to see a big purchase and then a settlement and put two and two together.

My previous sig asked who was bank rolling Acacia ?
but as posted previously - look at the "volume" of sales

something does smell bad charly - you're right.

I was hoping for some names though when I went looking for this thread again ...
exactly who is bank rolling Acacia?

Hi-jack? From you? It's not your thread. You are quite possibly the dumbest fucking person EVER on this board, and that says quite alot.

Now I'll stop replying to you here, as it obviously fucks up the thread.
